【笹かまぼこ】
笹かまぼことミニ笹かまぼこ。
宮城県の仙台の名産品です。
明治初期に仙台湾でヒラメの大漁が続き、保存の手段としてすり身にして手のひらで叩き、木の葉の形に焼いたのだそう。
地元で獲れた海の幸を大事にする想いから生まれた、笹かまぼこ。
Sasa-kamaboko and mini-sized sasa-kamaboko.( kind of fish cakes, one of Miyagi's specialties)
It is a specialty of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.
In the early Meiji period (1868-1912), there was a big catch of flounder in Sendai Bay, and as a way to preserve the fish, they made it into surimi, pounded it with the palm of their hands, and baked it in the shape of a wooden leaf.
Sasa-kamaboko was born out of the desire to cherish local seafood.
